Five Things You Can Do Today to Keep Your Acne From Getting Worse

1. Ice. Ice helps inflamed lesions from getting worse and often can make them go away. Cleanse your skin first, then get an ice cube and ice your zits for a minute or two. Keep the ice moving and don't FREEZE your skin.  Ice is GREAT post facial and even better during a rough breakout flare up.

2. Stop eating legumes- beans, soy, peanut butter, peanuts and/or peanut oil. Peanuts contain a hormone in them that can make acne worse. Try Almond Butter as an alternative.  Better yet go Paleo!  Here are some great websites to check out... www.paleoplan.com  www.everydaypaleo.com

3. Switch to a silk pillow case-  Silk doesn't absorb moisture or oil the way cotton does and keeps your skin and hair snag free.  Ditch the fabric softner while your at it.  Fabric softener leaves a waxy residue on cloth and clogs your pores.

4. Get uniodized salt to use at home. Iodides are the culprit in the foods that you eat - it irritates the follicle walls and breaks you out.

5. Start taking zinc supplements.
