Professional Treatments

There are a lot of different treatments I recommend for acne.  But which one for you?  That would depend on your skin type (acne is a condition not a skin type), your level of acne, (is it just occasional breakouts, blackheads, cystic, Stage I, II, III, IV?), and what is your budget is. Your most important thing is homecare.  Your in salon/clinic treatment can only take you so far.  If you are not using great homecare, the in salon/clinic treatment results will not last and barely matter.  So homecare along with a good diet and water intake is the KEY!!!! 

My favorite acne treatment for me... is and still is a progressive Glycolic Acid Peel.  These are customized for your skin and what your skin needs and can handle.  It fights not only acne but discoloration and refines skin texture.  A triple wammy and doesn't come with a lot of post peel side effects.  No flaking and very mild redness.  It also works fast and can give big results with the right esthetician and weekly series of 6-10 treatments.  You will be amazed at what this treatment can do for your skin.

Retinol... any type of retinol. I love Jan Marini Pro Glycolic & Retinol Peel.  It is only available by a professional.  This makes the skin brighter, smoother and helps with the inflammation of acne and post acne skin.  A great treatment for active acne and post acne skin to help with scarring and discoloration.  Again a series is best with any peel.  One time will give results but a series of 6-10 will acheive long term results.
